Or client is an alternative investment firm. This position supports a cross-functional portfolio operations team within a private investment firm. The role involves working across various internal groups and portfolio companies to drive strategic initiatives, improve reporting and analytics, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Support & Strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams and portfolio company executives throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Lead cross-functional projects involving analytics, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Prepare materials for executive-level meetings and investor presentations.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing networks across functional areas.
Data & Process Optimization
- Streamline workflows and implement automation to improve reporting cadence and data accuracy.
- Manage and enhance data quality across multiple internal systems and platforms.
- Support ESG and responsible investment reporting efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance.
- 3-5 years of experience in analytics-heavy, client-facing roles (consulting, advisory, or private equity preferred).
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead initiatives and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with financial modeling, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and sustainability frameworks (e.g., SASB, TCFD).
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms and databases (e.g., Salesforce, Smartsheet).
Additional Skills:
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Professional demeanor and discretion with sensitive information.
