Assistant Director, Investment Marketing & Operations
A well‑established financial services firm headquartered in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Director, Investment Marketing & Operations to join its collaborative and high‑performing team. This role offers the opportunity to take a lead position in the development, production, and execution of investment marketing materials, supporting both institutional and high‑net‑worth audiences across the firm's investment strategies.
This position serves as the end‑to‑end owner of the investment collateral production process while also acting as the firm's primary senior graphic design resource. The Assistant Director will play a critical role in shaping visual identity, elevating presentation quality, and ensuring timely, compliant delivery of materials in a highly regulated investment and wealth management environment.
This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, with in‑office expectations Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The Assistant Director, Investment Marketing & Operations will be responsible for:
- Owning the end‑to‑end production of investment marketing materials, including quarterly fact sheets, commentaries, pitch books, and presentations
- Leading the quarterly investment content production cycle across all strategies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Serving as the primary point of coordination between Investment, Marketing, Compliance, and external design or production partners
- Acting as the firm's senior hands‑on graphic designer, with responsibility for the overall look, feel, and quality of marketing materials
- Designing and producing high‑impact presentation materials, social media graphics, and branded collateral across print and digital formats
- Maintaining and evolving the firm's visual identity and branding across all channels
- Translating complex investment concepts into clear, visually compelling marketing materials
- Managing project timelines, version control, approvals, and handoffs throughout the production lifecycle
- Partnering closely with Compliance to ensure all materials meet regulatory and brand standards prior to release
- Identifying workflow inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to reduce cycle time and rework
- Developing scalable templates, tools, and best practices for repeatable investment content production
- Supporting and collaborating with junior design or marketing resources as needed (management experience a plus, but not required)
The Assistant Director, Investment Marketing & Operations should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Graphic Design, or a related field
- 6-10+ years of experience in investment marketing, marketing operations, or financial services design
- Strong, hands‑on graphic design skills with experience designing presentations, marketing collateral, and digital assets
- Deep experience within the investment and/or wealth management industry
- Proven ability to translate investment and financial concepts into clear, compelling visual materials
- Experience working within regulated environments and navigating compliance review workflows
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms
- Exceptional project and process management skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to operate independently in a deadline‑driven environment while coordinating across multiple stakeholders
- Management or mentoring experience is a plus, though this remains an individual contributor role
