Role Overview
As a Director in the Debt Advisory team, you will lead the origination and execution of financing mandates across a range of sectors, with a focus on mid-market transactions. You will work closely with clients, lenders, and internal teams to deliver tailored capital structure solutions, including acquisition financing, refinancing, recapitalisations, and growth capital.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and lead debt advisory mandates, including sponsor-backed and corporate transactions.
- Structure and negotiate financing solutions across senior, unitranche, mezzanine, and other alternative debt instruments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms, corporates, and lending institutions.
- Manage transaction execution from pitch to close, including financial modelling, lender presentations, and process coordination.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Collaborate with M&A and sector teams to identify integrated opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record in debt advisory or leveraged finance, ideally with mid-market transaction experience.
- Strong network across lenders and private equity sponsors in France and Europe.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Excellent technical skills in credit analysis, structuring, and negotiation.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive origination and build client relationships.
- Prior experience in investment banking, debt advisory boutiques, or leveraged finance teams at banks.
