An upcoming and recognizable Investment Manager is looking to bring in an Asset Risk Manager as a lead for its risk business. This candidate will report to the CRO and C-level executives within the business and lead manage a team of risk analysts. The purpose will be the number two of the business and carry out strategic functions for the asset risk team by establishing and enhancing procedures, policies and process to assess the risk of the firm.
Some responsibilities of this role include:
- Monitoring fixed income markets specifically with a focus in structured credit (cmbs,abs)
- Evaluate large complex transactions and be a key resource on market and regulatory trends
- Conducting ad-hoc risk analysis
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and executives
- Assessing new products and proposing frameworks for managing associated risks
- Implementing appropriate stress-testing scenarios
Qualifications:
- A graduate degree is preferred (M.S. in Finance, Financial Engineering, etc)
- 10 + years of experience in an investment risk related role
- Keep knowledge of fixed income markets
- 3+ years of managerial experience at senior leadership level
- Extensive experience and knowledge in risk management techniques and tools
- Strong executive level presence
- Comfortable in speaking with portfolio managers and executive management
