Role Responsibilities for Strategic Account Manager:
- Manage every stage of the sales process across a range of accounts.
- Main sales targets are hedge funds, trading houses, banks and oil & gas companies.
- Identify opportunities and drive new sales and business growth.
- Implementation of marketing plans.
- Client calls, meetings, market presentations and support.
- Deliver results in a timely fashion and continue to grow the business.
- Responsible for new and existing client relationships in Europe for the online global databases.
Individual Attributes for Strategic Account Manager:
- Proven track record and experience in complex institutional business development.
- A background working either in the energy sector as a trader, broker or software sales would be preferred.
- Qualifications and/or experience in the energy/commodities industry.
- Extensive network in the energy trading sector in one or several regions (UK, CEE, Nordics, Germany, France, Italy, Spain).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at senior executive level.
- Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
- Contacts within hedge funds, trading houses and banks would be preferred.
- Prior exposure to selling solutions/products would be advantageous.
