From the central London office you will have the chance to lead a team of senior software developers and software developers working remotely from multiple locations in the UK. Line management responsibilities will include appraisals, one to one meetings, identifying training needs, motivating and performance managing the team
Lead the Software Development team in:
- The maintenance and performance improvement of existing software;
- The development of new systems in line with the business and systems strategy;
- The design and maintenance of database systems.
- Data interrogation, integration and delivery
- Ensure the quality and technical approach taken by the team, ensuring it is in-line with a strategy developed together with the CTO - and that projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Take part in analysis of the business requirements and coordinate these requirements with the wider development team to ensure successful understanding and delivery of project goals.
- Coordinate "bottom up" projects with key business stakeholders for projects where the role of the Development Team is to define, develop AND manage implementation.

To facilitate the smooth delivery of all projects, enhancements and support delivered by the team. - Present and recommend ideas for software improvements, upgrades and modifications.
Collaborate with the development team to implement improvements to our products, services, processes and knowledge sharing within the team. - To become an expert in the business's data models and systems data flows ensuring efficient, controlled and accurate delivery of data through several mediums.
- To take control over critical development support instances and putting into place the correct escalation and process to manage and resolve issue as soon as possible and plan for future mitigation.

- Project management experience essential
- Senior level software / database developer
- Experience of leading a team of developers
- Essential - strong MSSQL database and other data manipulation skills as well as the ability to abstract and understand data across multiple connected systems.
- Desired - Full stack development experience in particular the Microsoft stack including .NET languages e.g. C# and a strong understanding of OO principles.
