About the role
The candidate will support the global Credit & Surety team in the structuring and execution of non-standard solutions for bank and non-bank financial institutions, reporting to the Lead Structurer Credit & Surety.
Non-standard solutions include tailor-made portfolio transactions, funded structures and other types of capital management solutions.
Some responsibilities include:
- Structuring solutions, which include: developing the due diligence process, building financial models in excel, evaluating alternative structures, developing term sheets, client negotiation, leading the development of the legal documentation
- Engaging with clients and brokers to originate new transactions
- Take ownership for the end-to-end execution of transaction opportunities
- Together with Actuarial Insights and Credit Product Centre perform transaction costing
- Monitor transactions post-closing
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Broad asset class/industry knowledge and expertise in underwriting complex transactions
- Corporate Finance background with minimum of 7 years of credit structuring and/or underwriting experience
- Strong execution attitude and track record in bringing large transactions to the "finishing-line"
- Ability to evaluate and take a position on transactions and defend views
- Actuarial/statistics degree (Advantageous)
- Strong financial and transaction analysis skills and track record in structuring transactions
- Expertise in credit risk modelling and costing (single risk and portfolio) or proven analytical/modelling skills
- Experience in negotiating complex legal agreements
