Responsibilities
- Identify, analyse and interpret trends in complex date sets that pertain to client and regulatory data.
- Develop regular MIS and ad hoc reporting capability from customer and regulatory onboarding data contained in source system.
- Design, analyse and prepare reports on daily basis to support regulatory and operational reporting activities globally.
- Work with management to prioritise business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities that pertain to data management.
- Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of both the Bank's and the Division's business strategies, shifting regulatory environment, evolving risk management practices and methodologies, new products, updated operational processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to drive effective business solutions.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas, while ensuring effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk.
Dimensions
- The incumbent must have knowledge of Excel, database programming (SQL/VBA/Python), Visual Basic for Applications and Business Intelligence reporting tools (e.g., Tableau and other visualization tools).- (Google charts, Grafana, Chartist.js, FusionCharts, Infogram)
- The incumbent should have knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments, ranging from derivative products to investment products, including current and anticipated regulatory changes impact, and the end-to-end work flows among the front, middle, and back offices.
- The incumbent must be a creative, self-starting, results-oriented, and highly motivated individual with excellent analytical skills in order to apply this knowledge to independently and quickly resolve complex business problems that are multi-dimensional and often unstructured without precedent. The incumbent should be able to propose new and innovative solutions to meet the requirements of the user base.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to work with a number of stakeholders, including: business users, technology and operations partners, compliance, and management.
Education
- A recognised undergraduate degree preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science or Business is required.
- Good working experience in BI/data analytics in a Consulting or Banking setting.
