Private Equity Associate
We are looking for a Private Equity Associate to join our client's team. The client is a Private Equity firm with over $700m in assets under management (AUM). The firm is currently operating out of its 2nd fund and has a strong focus in the Consumer space. The role can be based in San Francisco, Minneapolis, or even sit remote.
Responsibilities
The Private Equity Associate will work closely with the investment team on all aspects of the investment process. The Associate will be responsible for:
- Conducting research on potential investment opportunities
- Building financial models and performing valuations
- Conducting due diligence on potential investments
- Preparing investment memos and presentations
- Monitoring portfolio companies and working with management teams to drive value creation
- Supporting the fundraising process
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years of experience in either investment banking, private equity, or management consulting
- Experience in the consumer space is a plus
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
