On the back of tremendous performance and growth, a leading asset management firm is looking to capitalize on an incredible year by expanding its business development in the Middle East. The successful candidate will take ownership of a number of investors in this region and work alongside the existing sales team. The firm has generated incredible success running a variety of products, across long-only equities, hedge funds, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and private equities.
The ideal candidate will be at Vice President (VP) level and have experience working in a blue-chip firm and be looking for an autonomous role where they can focus on building out and a business and escape the company politics from much larger firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive asset growth in the middle east from retail / wholesale and institutional investors.
- Identify prospective investors and then managing the sales and on-boarding process.
- Have an excellent understanding of the firm's products to deliver highly technical pitches to the full-range of investors.
- Work closely with the sales support and marketing teams to utilise excellent marketing materials and other resources deemed necessary.
- Travel to the Middle East regions to meet existing and prospective investors.
Candidate Requirements
- The ideal candidate roughly have between 7-12 years (or relevant) total experience.
- Proven experience raising capital from the Middle East investor base, with an extensive knowledge of this region and a strategic plan to raise capital here.
- Strong understanding of a multitude of asset classes, and an ability to simplify complicated terminology.
- Desire to be involved with the big institutional allocators in this region.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- MBA / CFA preferred
