An elite hedge fund ($40+ Billion AUM) is seeking to add an experienced attorney to their Legal team in New York City. This is an exciting team that focuses its work around the investment processes, strategies, and products of the firm. You will liaise regularly with internal teams across Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, Marketing, and more.
What you will do:
- You'll be part of a lean team responsible for creating new investment vehicles and advising on new strategies for the fund
- Negotiate agreements and terms with clients of the firm
- Advise both internal and external stakeholders on related legal matters
- On an ad hoc basis, perform due diligence and provide legal advice on prospective new business lines for the firm
Your qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional legal experience
- JD from top law school
- Fund management and investment management experience (hedge funds, investment funds, public funds, private funds, etc.)
- Knowledge of investment or fiduciary regulations
