The technology vertical is continuing to surge across all types of banks and banking products. 2021 is slowing no signs of slowing down and if you want to become a successful tech banker you need to be in San Francisco and you need to be at a global bank. We are working with a name brand bulge bracket investment bank on growing their tech group in San Francisco - if you want to be considered for this role you MUST already have the Investment Banking Associate title with no less than 4 years of banking experience (or an MBA + 1 year of exp.) under your belt, no exceptions.
Additionally you ideally have multiple $1bn+ sell-side tech banking transactions on your deal sheet and a profoundly deep understanding a variety of spaces within the technology vertical.
This is a plug-and-play position - you will be expected to hit the ground running.
Comp: ~350k all-in
Role Description:
- To develop detailed industry materials for the technology space
- To work on transactions including sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory for companies across the technology space
- Maintaining client relations during the deal execution period and building industry-specific or product-specific expertise
- Regular contact with other internal teams within the bank to ensure the smooth running of the execution process
- To conduct research and analysis on the Bank's clients and prospects as well as industry sub-sectors and contribute ideas for those clients and prospects
Candidate Qualifications:
- Must already be an Investment Banking Associate
- Experience from a leading investment bank or advisory
- Excellent analytic, modeling, and technical skills
- Robust experience in Mergers & Acquisitions
- Strong client management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Solid professional writing skills, particularly in preparing CIMs and relevant documents and announcements
