An exciting hedge fund based in the heart of London are recruiting for an exceptional asset-raiser to focus on the developing business in the US wholesale and institutional channels. The hedge fund offers a multi-strategy investment platform in global emerging markets, primarily in the credit and macro space.
Given strong performance for FY19, it is the perfect time for the fund to capitalise by enticing new investors and servicing existing investors, and due to their fund structure they have identified as being extremely relevant to the American family office, wealth management and intermediaries space. This is a gap in the current targeted regions, as they currently have an existing business development manager who exclusively covers Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive asset growth in the firm's core targeted investor markets: US family offices, wealth management, intermediaries (wholesale / retail).
- Manage the full sales cycle from identifying prospects, conduct marketing calls and meetings, due diligence and final pitches.
- Provide excellent relationship management to existing and new investors, helping with any queries on the portfolio.
- Provide clients with on-going updates on the markets, investment strategies and products.
- Take charge of the marketing strategy and produce high quality materials.
- Work closely with the Investment Team in business development efforts.
- Deliver exceptional pitches to the target investor base and attend new client meetings.
- Identify key networking events which the firm can leverage from.
- Contribute to the development of product presentations.
Candidate Requirements
- Existing network across the US wholesale / retail channels that can be targeted for asset raising.
- Experience raising for either public or private credit or macro strategies for a hedge fund.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and work both autonomously an as part of a team.
- Strong product understanding, and ability to deliver technical sales pitches.
- MBA / CFA preferred.
- Excellent communication and literacy skills.
- Ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships quickly.
- Strong Microsoft office skills.
- Keen interest in the hedge fund space and the latest financial news.
