A top asset management firm is looking to add an individual to their Capital Markets team as a Senior Associate in either their Boston or Chicago office. The firm manages over $1 billion in assets with offices across the US and provides senior debt financing to middle market companies.
They are targeting individuals with 2-5 years of experience at buy-side credit shops or who have debt capital markets backgrounds with experience in broadly syndicated loans. You will be an integral addition to the team taking on a ton of responsibility with ample opportunities for advancement. The team prefers this individual to have close ties or currently reside in either the Boston or Chicago area.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate investment opportunities, including modeling, business diligence, industry research, and attend meetings
- Lead Investments efforts in the broadly syndicated loan market, including new issues and secondary markets
- Maintain and develop relationships with deal agents to drive deal flow
- Monitor existing portfolio investments
- Prepare and present materials to investment committee
Requirements:
- Must have 2-5 years of experience at a buy-side credit, direct lender, or debt capital markets firm with experience to broadly syndicated loans
- Must have excellent modeling skills
- Strong academic record
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to work independently, with limited junior support
- Preference is for candidates to have close ties or currently reside in the Boston or Chicago area
