Title: Compliance Officer - Digital Currency Trading Startup
Company Summary: A rapidly growing crypto-currency trading firm is looking to bolster its compliance program with the addition of a knowledgeable Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for supporting a comprehensive anti-financial crimes and regulatory compliance program, with special focus on AML, KYC, and OFAC protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience covering general compliance within FinTech, and direct experience in coding or experience working directly with engineers is strongly preferred.
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for:
- Working with operations, trade execution, and development teams to ensure adherence to set compliance objectives and educate teams on industry best practices
- Creation and implementation of policies and procedures, including ongoing review of regulatory updates in the rapidly changing FinTech space
- Creation and maintenance of a strong FCC platform to ensure AML and KYC readiness
- Regulatory filing and reporting, directly liaising with regulators during any future exams or inquiries
