Title: Business Unit Lead (SVP and VP leveling)
Salary: 130-240k Base depending on level and qualifications
Work model: Hybrid Model based in NYC Manhattan (typically flex on which days)
Summary: A large and well-known bank is seeking a Business Unit Lead on their Technology Production Support team. The group is responsible for ongoing planning, admin, and organizational development activities. This person acts similarly to a project manager, but more on the business and finance side. You will be reporting into the Business Office Head.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Production Support Line of Business (LOB) Business Unit Managers
- Drive LOB administrative and financial reporting, and quality improvements through partnership with internal teams
- Ensure that applicable LOB monthly financial deliverables, including monthly headcount forecasts, client reporting and ad hoc requests are met
- Participate in the annual budget process - work with Production Support Business Unit Managers and the Finance team to establish the budget and ensure that deadlines are met in addition to ensuring that systems (PTS and Renault) accurately reflect the Plan
- Aide in the development of more robust LOB monthly financial reporting
- Serve as a business partner to Finance, Human Resources, Vendor Management, the Technology Staffing Office, and act as a trusted advisor to the Business Office Senior Management
- Promote process improvement in all areas involved; Create and maintain process standards/ methodologies and best practices. Identify automation/efficiency opportunities where possible
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders, changing priorities and tight deadlines, in Business Management roles within an international Financial Institution
- Strong career experience in building, guiding, and assisting relationships with high-level managers
- Demonstrated success in managing large, complex budgets / financial
- Knowledge of the financial services
- Evidence of ability to show initiative and execute to completion
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure environment
- Analytic mind set with a data-driven, structured approach to driving progress
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and Power Point
