Vessel Operator - Crude Oil (CPP Tanker Welcome!)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned crude oil tankers, including voyage planning, port calls, and cargo handling.
- Liaise with vessel masters, agents, charterers, terminals, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth voyage execution.
- Monitor vessel performance (speed, consumption, schedule adherence) and ensure timely reporting and issue resolution.
- Ensure full compliance with charter party terms, including laytime calculations, demurrage handling, and off-hire management.
- Coordinate bunker planning and procurement, ensuring quality, quantity, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and issue voyage instructions, review cargo documentation, and oversee port formalities.
- Support post-fixture activities including claims handling, invoicing, and voyage analysis.
- Collaborate with technical and HSEQ teams to ensure operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Track and manage voyage P&L, ensuring cost control and budget adherence.
- Maintain accurate operational records, voyage reports, and performance data.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in crude and/or DPP tanker operations, open to CPP tanker operations too.
- Strong understanding of tanker chartering terms, voyage economics, and marine regulations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office and vessel tracking/operations systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple voyages simultaneously.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental standards (e.g., OCIMF, MARPOL, ISGOTT).
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese (spoken and written) to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
