Specialty Pricing Actuary
Selby Jennings is working with a rapidly growing global insurance group to appoint a Specialty Pricing Actuary into their Specialty Pricing team. This is a high-impact role within a dynamic and collaborative actuarial function, offering direct exposure to underwriting and senior leadership.

You will support the pricing of complex and bespoke risks across Marine, Aviation, Aerospace, and Contingency, with scope to expand into new lines. Working closely with underwriters, you'll develop and maintain pricing tools and models, support technical pricing and deliver portfolio analysis to identify optimisation opportunities. You'll collaborate with exposure management, risk, and reinsurance teams to monitor aggregations and systemic exposures, while also preparing insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders. The role also involves contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring pricing models remain aligned with underwriting strategy and market conditions.
Role Requirements:
- Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary (up to 2 years PQE).
- 5+ years of experience in London Market or reinsurance pricing.
- Strong technical pricing skills and commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel user; experience with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Prior exposure to specialty lines or Lloyd's market advantageous.
