Senior Structured Credit Trader - London or Paris

We are partnered with an industry leading investment bank who are seeking a Senior Structured Credit Trader to join their front-office trading team in London or Paris.

Role Overview

As a Senior Trader, you will be responsible for managing and expanding trading activity across a range of structured credit products, including:

  • CLNs/Repacks: Origination, pricing, and risk management of Credit Linked Notes and Repackaged structures, working closely with structuring, legal, and distribution teams.
  • Index Tranches: Trading bespoke and standardized tranches on credit indices, managing correlation risk, and executing delta-hedging strategies.
  • Rates/Credit Hybrids: Structuring and trading hybrid instruments that combine credit and interest rate exposures, including curve trades, basis strategies, and volatility overlays.

You will be expected to contribute to the strategic direction of the desk and collaborate across sales, structuring, and risk teams to deliver tailored solutions to institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage trades across structured credit and hybrid instruments with a focus on risk-adjusted returns.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models and risk analytics for complex credit structures.
  • Monitor market developments, macro trends, and regulatory changes affecting credit markets.
  • Work closely with structuring and sales to originate and distribute bespoke solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to product development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal risk limits and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in structured credit trading, ideally within a top-tier investment bank or hedge fund.
  • Strong expertise in credit derivatives, tranche pricing, and hybrid structures.
  • Solid understanding of credit markets, macroeconomics, and fixed income instruments.
  • Proficiency in risk management tools and quantitative modelling (Python, Excel/VBA, Bloomberg, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across global teams.
  • Fluency in English required; French is a plus for Paris-based candidates.
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field preferred.
