Senior Manager | Operations & Settlements | Securities firm
Overview:
Our client, a leading securities firm is looking to expand their operations team and thus looking for a someone to lead a team that focuses on settlements and corporate actions.
What does the role involve?
- Manage and oversee daily settlement activities across multiple markets and asset classes
- Handle corporate actions processing including dividends, mergers, rights issues, and proxy voting
- Liaise with custodians, counterparties, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution
- Monitor and resolve trade discrepancies and exceptions
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
What experience do you need?
- Proven experience in settlements, corporate actions, or related operations functions
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and trade lifecycle
- Familiarity with market infrastructure and systems (e.g., SWIFT, Bloomberg, Omgeo, etc.)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Experience within a securities firm or investment bank is highly preferred
