Investment Operations Consultant

Join a leading investment management firm as an Investment Operations Consultant on a one-year contract. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional with at least 15 years of experience in asset management. You'll drive operational excellence, shape future-state processes, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and refine the scope and role of investment operations management in alignment with the future operating model.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Investment Operations Lead and subject matter experts in defining necessary controls to strengthen end-to-end processes, including integration with third-party vendors.
  • Evaluate and enhance the operations team's procedure manual to ensure comprehensive documentation and institutional knowledge retention.
  • Identify key risk areas, recommend mitigation strategies, and propose new controls to build a more robust operational framework.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to assess current ("as-is") processes and design future-state processes, systems, and structures.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and secure formal sign-off on all requirement documentation.
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure mutual understanding of requirements and solution constraints.
  • Facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholders to explore solution options and develop detailed solution design documents.
  • Support project management activities including status reporting, risk and issue tracking, change request assessments, and governance.
  • Contribute to change management efforts by providing relevant information to support effective communication.
  • Coordinate discussions between service providers and third parties such as custodians and counterparties to support the future operating model.
