Head of Market Making (Crypto)
We are actively partnered with a leading NYC-based Crypto Fund to identify a strategic and dynamic leader to oversee Market Making, Business Development, and Trading operations across both DeFi and CeFi platforms. This high-impact role is central to driving liquidity, expanding trading partnerships, and optimizing execution strategies in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will be based on-site in New York City and collaborate closely with teams across three additional global office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale market making operations across centralized and decentralized exchanges.
- Design and implement trading strategies focused on liquidity optimization, profitability, and capital efficiency.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key trading venues, protocols, and counterparties to enhance market access.
- Oversee risk management, compliance, and performance analytics across trading desks.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to advance trading infrastructure, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to inform strategic initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in crypto trading, market making, or institutional finance.
- Deep expertise in DeFi protocols, CeFi platforms, and liquidity dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing trading teams.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; experience with algorithmic trading systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a robust global network in crypto markets.
- Solid understanding of quantitative and algorithmic trading strategies, including execution optimization and statistical modeling.
