Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to provide financial oversight and operational support for the Private Credit business and related alternative strategies. This role will focus on reporting accuracy, process improvements, and governance for private credit funds and Business Development Companies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and improve financial and operational processes for private credit funds and BDC structures
  • Manage preparation and review of financial statements and regulatory filings including quarterly and annual reports and investor communications
  • Oversee calculations for management and incentive fees along with expense accruals and budgeting
  • Ensure accuracy of fund accounting and capital account reporting across multiple strategies
  • Partner with investment teams to analyze complex transactions and new investment structures
  • Coordinate with external service providers including administrators pricing agents and financing partners
  • Work closely with internal teams including legal compliance operations and business development to maintain strong controls and support growth initiatives
  • Act as the main contact for audit and tax engagements
  • Assist with corporate level reporting including forecasts and management analysis
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
  • CPA designation required
  • Seven to ten years of experience in Private Credit or Private Equity accounting
  • Experience with BDC structures strongly preferred
  • Background in a Big Four public accounting firm is a plus
  • Strong technical knowledge of fund structures regulatory requirements and complex investment products
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
