Assistant Controller
Assisatant Controller Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and enforce internal control procedures.
Cost Accounting & Analysis
- Oversee cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation and standard costing.
- Analyze variances and provide insights to improve manufacturing efficiency and profitability.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Operational Support
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to align financial strategies with production goals.
- Assist in ERP system optimization and automation initiatives.
- Prepare management reports and KPIs for leadership review.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and support accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Assistant Controller Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or aerospace.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
