Director of FP&A Duties:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership

    • Lead the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and scenario planning.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making by senior leadership.
  • Forecasting & Reporting

    • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes.
    • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to executive leadership and board members.
    • Analyze variances and trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Manage and mentor a team of FP&A analysts.
    • Collaborate with department heads (e.g., merchandising, operations, supply chain) to align financial goals with business objectives.
    • Partner with IT and data teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting automation.
  • Healthcare-Specific Financial Oversight

    • Monitor revenue cycles related to Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance reimbursements.
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
    • Support M&A modeling and integration activities if applicable.
  • Process Improvement & Systems

    • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and systems (e.g., Power BI, Vena, Monday.com).
    • Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA/CMA preferred).
  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in healthcare, retail, or PE-backed environments strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycles and payer systems.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence at all levels.
