Overview:

Our client, a top-tier Chinese financial institution, is seeking a seasoned Director of Prime Sales to join their expanding Prime Services team in Hong Kong. This strategic hire will focus on driving business development and relationship management with global hedge funds operating in Greater China, leveraging the firm's robust infrastructure, capital markets capabilities, and regional expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales efforts for prime brokerage and related services targeting hedge funds across Greater China.
  • Develop and execute client acquisition strategies to grow wallet share and onboard new hedge fund clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with portfolio managers, COOs, and other key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including trading, financing, risk, and operations to deliver seamless client service.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategy.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in prime brokerage sales or hedge fund coverage, ideally with exposure to Greater China clients.
  • Strong understanding of hedge fund strategies, operational needs, and financing structures.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing prime brokerage mandates.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.
