Commodities Market Risk Analyst/Senior Analyst
One of the Largest Commodities Trading House in the world who have been looking to significantly grow out their Risk team in Houston, TX is looking to hire an Analyst/Senior Analyst level candidate to their Market Risk group.
We are working closely with the Head of Market Risk to bring in individuals with 1-5 years of experience to fill multiple positions open within their function. This role offers the opportunity to sit directly on the trading floor and oversee Market Risk associated with the firm's trading strategies covering Crude Oil, Nat Gas and Power Products.
Due to the nature of a leaner team, the role offers high visibility to senior leadership and a great chance to carve out work for yourself. The firm is also known for having some of the best culture on the street and is looking to maintain that standard with their new hires.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of the firm-wide Market Risk framework
- Maintain and develop Stress Testing Scenarios
- Work closely with traders to assess risk exposures
- Overall Market Risk management for the firm including risk reporting and daily interaction with the front office and back office
- Working with the desk's P&L and exposures, calculating daily risk reports
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years working in a Market Risk or equivalent team
- Commodities experience, preferably specialized in oil, power or gas
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with Traders and other team members
