Investment Banking Associate I - Consumer & Retail
Our client's Consumer & Retail Investment Banking team is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join their New York office. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile transactions across the consumer and retail sectors, including M&A advisory, equity and debt capital markets, and strategic corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side mandates.
- Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and pitch materials.
- Conduct industry and company research to support transaction execution and business development.
- Collaborate with senior bankers and clients to drive deal processes forward.
- Mentor and manage analysts on deal teams.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of direct investment banking experience, ideally with strong exposure to M&A transactions.
- Proven track record of transaction execution and client engagement.
- Strong technical skills in financial modeling and valuation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management abilities.
- Consumer & Retail sector experience is not required, but a demonstrated interest or prior exposure is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required.
