With a culture rooted in collaboration and bold thinking, the firm is seeking a seasoned Tax Director to lead its tax strategy and compliance functions during a period of exciting growth and transformation.

Position Overview:
The Tax Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. This role will also support international tax matters, manage payroll-related tax filings, and collaborate cross-functionally with finance, HR, and external advisors. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to navigating the evolving tax landscape in the advertising and media space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and review of global, federal, state, and local tax returns, including quarterly and annual filings
  • Oversee international tax matters and ensure compliance with global reporting requirements
  • Manage payroll tax filings, W-2 and 1099 distributions, and investment reconciliations
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business goals and optimize tax positions
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the business
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external tax advisors and auditors
  • Train and mentor tax and accounting staff on best practices and regulatory updates
  • Collaborate with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Support ERP system enhancements related to tax workflows and automation
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MS in Taxation preferred
  • CPA required
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive tax experience
  • Experience in media, advertising, or professional services industries strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and payroll tax compliance
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar ERP systems is a plus
