Position Overview
The firm is seeking a Director or Managing Director to join its Healthcare Investment Banking team. This individual will play a lead role in originating and executing transactions, developing client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of the healthcare franchise.
The position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of healthcare specialists while maintaining significant autonomy in an entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare executives, founders, private equity investors, and strategic acquirers
- Originate and lead M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements within the healthcare sector
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted healthcare subsectors
- Lead transaction execution processes from engagement through closing
- Oversee preparation of client presentations, marketing materials, financial analyses, and valuation work
- Serve as a senior advisor to clients on strategic alternatives, market conditions, and transaction structuring
- Manage and mentor junior bankers, including Associates and Analysts
- Coordinate with legal, accounting, and other external advisors during live transactions
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and business development meetings
Qualifications
- 7+ years (Director) or 10+ years (Managing Director) of investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory experience
- Demonstrated healthcare transaction experience, including M&A and capital raising assignments
- Established relationships within the healthcare ecosystem preferred
- Strong track record of business development and client management
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution skills
- Experience working with founder-owned businesses and private equity-backed companies preferred
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Compensation: dependent on revenue generation
