We are representing a $15bn+ AUM, global multi-strategy hedge fund with a long-standing track record across liquid strategies. The firm is seeking to hire a Senior Equity Research Analyst to work directly alongside the Lead Trader / Center Book Head within their global equities platform.
This is a highly visible role offering broad exposure across the equity division and direct impact on P&L through idea generation, portfolio construction support, and ongoing risk management.
Role Overview
- Senior research position supporting the Center Book within a global equity long/short strategy
- Partnering directly with the Center Book Head / Lead Trader
- Generalist equity mandate with global coverage across regions and sectors
- Core responsibility is producing high-conviction, best-ideas research that feeds directly into portfolio positioning
- Significant interaction with multiple sector and regional teams across the equities platform
- Exposure to portfolio construction, sizing, risk, and cross-book idea sharing
Responsibilities
- Generate differentiated, fundamental equity research with clear alpha drivers
- Build and maintain a best-ideas pipeline across global equities
- Conduct deep fundamental analysis including company modeling, industry work, and thematic research
- Support the Lead Trader on idea validation, sizing decisions, and ongoing performance monitoring
- Collaborate with sector specialists and regional teams to triangulate views and stress-test ideas
- Monitor macro, factor, and cross-market dynamics impacting equity positioning
Candidate Profile
- Experienced buy-side equity research analyst with a strong long/short background
- Generalist mindset with demonstrated ability to move across sectors and geographies
- Track record of producing actionable, investable best ideas
- Strong fundamental skill set with a commercial, P&L-oriented approach
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-strategy hedge fund environment
- Ability to work closely with senior investment professionals and challenge views constructively
