Accounting/Operations Manager - Insurance Asset Management
About the Role
This Investment Advisor, a significant and influential player in the alternative investmetn space, is seeking a highly motivated Accounting & Operations Associate to join their growing Insurance Asset Management team. This individual will serve as the primary owner of their Clearwater Analytics processes, ensuring accurate investment accounting, smooth system operations, and exceptional client support.
This is a unique opportunity to become a core member of a sophisticated investment platform, working closely with portfolio managers, operations professionals, and insurance clients to deliver world‑class reporting and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the Clearwater Analytics ecosystem end‑to‑end, including data feeds, reconciliations, validations, reporting configurations, and monthly/quarterly closes.
- Serve as the internal Clearwater subject‑matter expert, proactively optimizing workflows, enhancing system usage, and troubleshooting issues.
- Act as a primary liaison to insurance clients, delivering clear communication, reporting insights, and timely responses to inquiries.
- Support investment accounting functions, including reconciliations, cash management oversight, valuation checks, and statutory reporting needs.
- Collaborate with portfolio management, compliance, and external partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all investment data.
- Enhance process automation and operational efficiency, leveraging Clearwater tools and internal systems.
Qualifications
- 2-5+ years of hands-on experience with Clearwater Analytics in an investment, insurance, or asset management environment.
- Strong understanding of investment accounting, including fixed income and multi‑asset portfolios; STAT/GAAP knowledge a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with and support clients.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and agile in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive problem solver with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
