A leading insurance organization is seeking a seasoned professional to join its Institutional Markets team, which specializes in structuring and executing complex transactions across the global life and annuity insurance landscape. With a strong foundation in investment and risk management, the firm has completed over $190 billion in strategic acquisitions and reinsurance deals over the past two decades, including block, flow, and pension risk transfer (PRT) transactions.

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact deal execution efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs while aligning with the firm's risk and financial frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of reinsurance and M&A transactions involving life and annuity blocks.
  • Conduct pricing and valuation due diligence, including product design and actuarial experience analysis.
  • Collaborate with actuarial teams to assess assumptions and recommend adjustments.
  • Identify transaction risks and propose mitigation strategies and sensitivity analyses.
  • Develop innovative, structured solutions that meet client objectives within regulatory and financial constraints.
  • Evaluate statutory and GAAP accounting implications for target blocks.
  • Participate in negotiations with counterparties and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare internal communications and presentations to report on deal progress.
  • Support post-deal integration and performance tracking.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, and other teams to monitor outcomes and ensure alignment with expectations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in life insurance product development, reinsurance, M&A, or financial reporting.
  • Deep understanding of reinsurance structures including sidecars, funded reinsurance, VIF monetization, and risk transfer mechanisms.
  • Strong quantitative and technical skills, with experience in actuarial modeling.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
