About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Talent Advisor to lead strategic hiring initiatives focused on attracting top-tier global talent-particularly U.S.-based professionals with backgrounds in Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), Investment Banking (IBD), Fund Advisory (FA), and Consulting-to join the growing team in China. This role is pivotal in shaping our talent pipeline and will play a key role in cross-border recruitment strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for senior and mid-level roles across investment, advisory, and operational teams.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies targeting U.S.-based candidates with strong PE/VC/IBD/FA/Consulting backgrounds.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global talent pools, executive search firms, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand talent needs and deliver tailored hiring solutions.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to position the firm as a top destination for global professionals relocating to China.
- Manage and mentor a small team of recruiters or sourcers, ensuring high performance and alignment with business goals.
- Provide market intelligence and insights on compensation, competitor hiring trends, and candidate motivations.
- Ensure a seamless candidate experience from outreach through onboarding.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in in-house HR or executive search/headhunting.
- Proven track record of hiring for PE/VC/IBD/FA/Consulting roles in the U.S. market.
- Strong understanding of global mobility and cross-border hiring practices.
- Experience leading or managing recruitment teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
Preferred Background
- Prior experience working with or recruiting for top-tier investment firms, strategy consultancies, or financial institutions.
- Familiarity with the cultural and professional nuances of relocating U.S.-based talent to China.
