Senior Accountant
A leading alternatives investment firm based in Luxembourg, the company specializes in Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) and traditional asset classes such as fixed income and equities. With a diverse portfolio and a strong international presence, the firm is committed to delivering long-term value to institutional and private investors.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the financial operations of the firm's investment vehicles, with a primary focus on PERE funds and traditional investments. This role involves overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & NAV Calculation
- Prepares and reviews Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for PERE and traditional investment funds.
- Reconciles investment portfolios including real estate assets, bonds, and equities.
Financial Reporting
- Prepares periodic financial statements in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.
- Assists with annual audits and liaises with external auditors.
Investor Reporting
- Supports the preparation of capital call and distribution notices.
- Maintains investor capital accounts and waterfall calculations.
Regulatory & Tax Compliance
- Ensures compliance with CSSF regulations and other relevant authorities.
- Coordinates tax filings and liaises with tax advisors.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Contributes to the enhancement of accounting systems and internal controls.
- Supports automation initiatives and data integrity projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in fund accounting, preferably within PERE or alternative investments.
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg fund structures (e.g., SICAV, SIF, RAIF, SCSp).
- Familiarity with traditional asset classes (bonds, equities) and their accounting treatment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Investran, eFront) and Excel.
- Fluency in English; French or German is considered an asset.
