Private Credit VP/Director Originations

A well-established investment firm with over ~$20B AUM is looking to add a Private Credit VP or Director to join the Middle Market Direct Lending and Opportunistic/Capital Solutions team. This individual will be responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of bespoke capital solutions for middle-market companies across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of private credit and/or private equity, a proven track record of deal origination and execution, and strong relationships within the middle market ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively identify, source, and evaluate new investment opportunities within the middle market through an established network of relationships with private equity firms, financial intermediaries, and company executives.
• Develop and maintain a robust deal pipeline aligned with the firm's investment strategy.
• Lead initial due diligence and screening of potential transactions, including financial analysis, industry research, and business model assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in a capital markets, investment banking, private/growth equity or private credit role, with a focus on middle market transactions.
• Proven track record of originating and closing complex debt, mezzanine, or equity transactions.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
