Head Corporate Actions | Securities Firm

Our client, a leading firm in the securities space, is seeking an experienced Head of Corporate Actions to lead and manage all aspects of corporate action processing across global markets. This role is critical in ensuring timely, accurate, and risk-controlled execution of events, while driving operational excellence and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end corporate action processing including dividends, mergers, rights issues, tender offers, and proxy voting.
• Ensure timely and accurate event capture, validation, and instruction across multiple markets and asset classes.
• Lead and mentor the corporate actions team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with custodians, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth execution.
• Drive automation and process enhancements to improve STP rates and reduce operational risk.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with market standards and internal policies.
• Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management on event volumes, risks, and performance metrics.
• Act as a key point of contact for escalations and complex event handling.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate actions within the securities industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of global corporate action processes, market practices, and settlement cycles.
• Proven experience in managing teams and driving operational improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in systems such as Bloomberg, SWIFT, and custodian platforms.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (required).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline; advanced certifications are a plus.
