Your responsibilities will include:- - Conducting in-depth fundamental research within the industrials sector. - Identifying attractive investment opportunities, communicating those ideas to the portfolio manager and closely tracking progress of investments in the portfolio - Building proprietary models to generate long and short investment ideas for the Portfolio Managers - Working as part of team of three in an equity long/short Industrials portfolio - Assessing sector and company risk and identifying hedges in order to maintain market-neutral book and maximize risk/reward - Developing and maintaining strong relationships with company management teams, sell-side analysts and industry experts. Within industrials the team is focused on Aerospace & Defense, Autos, Building Materials, Capital Goods, Chemicals, Construction, Paper & Packaging and Transportation sectors across global markets and you will have sole sector coverage for a minimum of two sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team that manages approximately $500 million employing a bottom-up investment strategy. This is a replacement role for an individual who have recently been given their own portfolio therefore the opportunity to move into money management quickly exists here.
