The hiring manager is looking for an individual who wants to move out of index strategy/research role into one that will offer you the chance to take more of a sales role. The role is a dual role in which you will responsible for the analytics side but also for providing support to the sales team with a view to move into a full sales role if desired. You should have experience of Direct involvement in the management of the Index, including review of equity markets and the analysis and recommendations regarding securities for index additions incorporating company fundamental analysis, market size, liquidity and sector representation. The ideal candidate will currently be in a role where they are conducting quantitative research to identify new opportunities in the financial markets in addition to analyzing market developments to implement new index methodological strategies and participated in product enhancement/development efforts. Sales experience is desired however not essential yet you must have a highly quantitative background, being able to develope analytics and create and maintain automated calculation indices modeled in excel.
