Associate - Commodity Exotics & Hybrids Quantitative Analyst : Paris : London

My client is currently looking to fill a position in their front office commodity exotics and hybrids quantitative team in either London or Paris. This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior candidate to join an outstanding front office team. The successful person will enter at an associate level within an existing team of 6 and report directly to the Head of Commodity Derivatives analytics and modeling.

The successful person will:

· Work very closely with the traders and structurers

· Support both European and Asian markets; so the opportunity to travel is on offer

· Work covering a variety of products including oils, crude, gas, metals, power and carbon.

· Gain the best mentoring from expert modelers so that within a short period of time you can lead a variety of projects on the desk

· Gain outstanding financial rewards both in terms of base & bonus and benefits.

Candidates may have the following profile;

- An outstanding PhD or DEA from a top university and in a highly quantitative course
- Very strong mathematics skills in stochastic calculus, Brownian Motion, Probabilities and PDE’s
- A strong interest in finance shown through either internships or financial reading
- Very strong programming / coding skills in C++ or Java or Matlab
