In Current Vacancies, Strategy JobsA leading investment bank is now looking to add an analyst to their research team in Johannesburg. You must have a MCS or PHD in econometrics/economics in order to be considered for the role. You will work in a team of 7 but will be the second person covering African markets, it will been seen as an advantage if you have past experience in Emerging markets as well as experience in working with policy makers. You must have experience in writing report and publishing as well as meeting clients.
The role involves:
• Develop macro forecasts and investment advise to external and internal clients.
• Developing solutions and strategies to resolve the inherent constraints that face the various sectors of the South African economy.
• Conducting presentations to the Economic Policy Unit of the National Treasury.
• Policy advice and strategy formulation for the country’s Development Finance Institutions.
You will report directly to the head of the research and since you will work as the number to in the team that includes taking over management responsibilities when necessary. This will be a great platform for future references.
