Trader -Wheat Trader

My client is a tier one investment bank that has an increasingly expanding operation within global commodity markets. They are currently looking to expand their f areas, with the priority being a wheat and maize trader for the Durban office. They are ideally looking for candidates with over three years exposure to trading physical wheat and maize on the global markets, and someone who has considerable trading experience in the agricultural commodities space.

Within this role your responsibilities will include:

• Trading physical grains on the South African markets within a talented trading team.
• Liaise with global offices to ensure smooth flowing operations.
• Acting as a focal point for relationship strategies and issues.
• Play a key role in the expansion and direction of the wheat and maize team in the Durban office.
• Develop into a senior Grain trader for the Durban branch.

Successful candidates for this role will:

• Have at least three years plus experience trading physical wheat on the South African markets.
• Have excellent contacts and knowledge of the South African wheat and maize markets.
• Have some exposure to physical trading, and be prepared to cover other soft commodity classes.
• Preferably be based in South Africa, and have an established client book.
