Trader- Shift Power and Gas trader

My client is a top tier bank and has an increasingly expanding operation within global commodity markets. They are currently looking to expand their operation…My client is a top tier bank and has an increasingly expanding operation within global commodity markets. They are currently looking to expand their operation in a range of areas, with the priority being a power and gas shift trader for the London office. They are ideally looking for candidates with a varied exposure to trading power and gas on the global markets with over 2 years

Within this role your responsibilities will include:

- Liaising with power stations, customers and traders to manage short-term positions

- Executing transactions and balancing positions

- Dispatching and optimizing power plants

- Managing scheduling and notification of volumes

- Optimizing income from short-term operations

Successful candidates for this role will:

- Have two years plus experience trading gas and power.

- Have energy sector experience with analytical or commercial exposure to energy markets.

- Have excellent analytical, problem-solving and people skills, together with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach..
