Equity Syndicate Banker

My client a strong European Investment bank is looking to hire an Associate Director/ VP level candidate to join their Emerging Markets equity syndicate team .
The Role:

• Join the desk as the third most senior person reporting into the MD and head of team
• Role will be equity syndicate supporting the ECM desk/ sales desk covering EM clients- particularly Russia/ Poland/ Ukraine/ Turkey/ Kazakhstan/ Bulgaria
• You will cover institutional investors for equity issues/ risk management of block trades/ rights issues underwriting
• You will liaise with the ECM team and the equity research team to ensure effective IPO report delivery/ to lead road shows with the sales team and to meet with institutional clients during book building and to give accurate pricing of equity products
• This is a broad dynamic role and you may be needed to assist on an ECM pitch or cross sell equity products. You will be joining a team of 3 syndicate colleagues and 5 ECM colleagues.

The Candidate

• My client is looking to hire a seasoned equity syndicate banker with good traditional syndicate experience- this is not an ECM role
• Successful candidate will have strong execution experience and strong deal experience
• You will need to deal with/field questions from investors/ attend senior client meetings with bankers, lawyers, go on pitches, road shows, keep up to date with new issues/valuation benchmarks/ volume information IPO and equity linked offerings
• This is a relatively small team so you will need to be dynamic/ driven hardworking and have a versatile and interesting skills set. My client is looking for an entrepreneurial experienced syndicate banker.
