ECM Banker- Urgent Hire

My client a top Chinese investment bank is hiring aggressively for its Equity Capital Markets business based in Kuala Lumpa Malaysia and is looking to Associate Director and one Director to join their team focused on South Asian clients.

The Role

• Join a market leading ECM team focused on South Asian deals particularly Malaysian and Indonesian currencies
• Originate/ structure and execute all equity offerings in Asia across IPOs/ Block trades/ equity offerings/ convertible bonds and market to Malaysian/ Chinese and Indonesian corporate and FI clients in Asia
• You will take a senior role in the team leading equity transactions to clients and cross selling the platform`s products to a wide variety of clients whilst also working on corporate finance/ IPO origination/ structuring and deal execution
• My client can hire at AD/ VP or Director level and is looking to hire as soon as possible

The Candidate

• Highly desirable to speak Malaysian and English.
• High preference for local candidates already based in Malaysia or with considerable experience of South Asian markets
• My client is looking to build out the bank`s equity capital markets and subsequently can only hire ECM/ equity syndicate or corporate finance bankers covering South Asia
• This role would perhaps suit a seasoned ECM banker working in London/ Singapore or Hong Kong but interested to return to work in Malaysia with the suitable language skills
• Immediate hire- any candidates with a short notice period/ without a job are highly desirable
• The successful candidates may also have a general South Asian investment banking background but need strong equities knowledge
