Senior Emerging Markets Economist – Buy side

A leading asset management firm are looking to add to their economics and strategy team at a senior level.

My client is looking to add a successful Global Emerging Markets Economist to head up the Emerging Markets economic division, working along-side the Chief economist.
The role can be located in the London office or also potentially within Paris therefore applicants from global locations are welcome to apply.

In order to apply for the position you must have covered Global emerging markets previously and have held a position of responsibility. You should be able to manage a team and have an excellent academic background with a PHD in Economics from a leading school.

You must have experience within:-

• Monetary policy analysis and macroeconomic modeling within Emerging markets
• Emerging markets foreign currency debt securities;
• Emerging markets local currency debt securities;
• Cross-country macroeconomic and financial trends in emerging markets
• Foreign exchange rates.
• International Relations
• Economic indicators
• Monetary, fiscal and exchange rate policy analysis

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a senior role within a leading buy side firm. The current strategy and economics team have an excellent reputations and real interest in expanding their current remit. You will therefore be given substantial responsibility.

You will have the responsibility for generating and presenting the forecasts therefore excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
