A leading investment bank is looking for a individual to work directly for one of their portfolio companies assisting in its restructure and turnaround. rnThe
The ideal candidate will currently be working within transaction advisory, accounting or as a financial controller and be interested in a more deal orientated position.
Responsibilities will include:-
- Participate in the development of clear business strategies
- Advising key internal personnel in key investment issues
- Identifying company risks
- Make presentations on Company results, forecasts and future plans to the Board of Directors and other senior management
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with all relevant outside bodies
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a deputy CFO/Controller will be required to help strengthen the company`s financial controls, participate in the development of clear business strategies and provide effective monitoring of the business on a timely basis.
Familiarity with the following processes will also be advantageous.
- Assess and agree financial objectives, budgets and strategic plans.
- Ensure that realistic and challenging budgets for resources, costs, cash flow and capital expenditure are agreed and implemented
- Provide high standards of financial control and ensure effective management of working capital and a strong sense of disciplined financial direction
- Astutely manage an efficient balance sheet, the capacity for debt, assets, liabilities and funding of the Company in accordance with agreed strategies
- Ensure that all risks associated with business activities are comprehensively identified and that required mechanisms are put in place to minimise their likelihood or impact
- Ensure senior executives and operating divisional management understand key dependencies, risks and opportunities in all plans, forecasts and proposals
All applicants must have: –
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Chartered Accountant)
- Several years of general Financial Management experience obtained after qualifying
- Financial management experience in a multinational environment would be advantageous
- Computer Skills (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SUN, Vision, Hyperion)
