Debt/ Equity Capital markets Origination

My client an Asian Investment Bank is looking to hire candidates to join their Equity and Debt business in Kuala Lumpa Malaysia. My client is xpanding their capital markets business to increase profitability of their South Asian business.

The Role

• My client is looking to hire both equity and debt originators with experience of South Asian bond/ loan or equity markets
• My client is looking to hire 3/ 4 bankers on the debt side and 3 bankers on the equity side across seniorities from Analyst to Director
• On the debt side you will be involved in structuring, executing and syndicating debt-related financings for local and multinational corporations, and government corporations / agencies. You will liaise with the fixed income research team/ legal, credit and sales on deal execution and syndication
• On the equity side you will be work with senior originators to deliver solutions and financing on equity and equity linked products for investors and raise funds in Equity Capital Markets

You will work on the structuring/ pricing/ analysis of equity markets and deliver pitch books/ marketing material with the senior originators and also syndicate team

• My client is offering a developing and exciting proposal with significant commitment to its fixed income and equity business. Client base is predominantly institutional investors in Asia- banks/ pension funds/ private banks/ corporates in South Asia. However my client also has an existing franchise in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Candidate

• Essential to have experience of either debt or equity origination/ syndication
• Essential to speak English and either Indonesian or Malay. My client would be interested in candidates with Mandarin language skills also
• Any candidate already based or with considerable exposure to the Malaysian bond or equity markets is highly desirable. My client is keen to also hire local candidates already in Malaysia
• Skills in origination/ structuring/ raising/ pricing/ analytics/ syndication/ sales is important. My client needs candidates who can originate and bring in business from clients and generate profit. Strong network of clients/ issuers is important
• Analyst/ Associate/ VP/ Director all welcome as my client has multiple headcounts on both the debt and equity capital market side
• DCM/ ECM/ Syndicate professionals equally important
