A top Brokerage in London is looking to expand its front office risk team with this key hire. The risk professional will be working directly with the Head of Risk and would be responsible for the production of daily, weekly risk monitoring.

The senior market analyst will have the following responsibilities:

• Assist and develop the running of the group.
• Be able to lead other junior members of the team and assist them in running their daily tasks.
• Be highly experienced in risk monitoring and reporting.
• Risk monitoring review: Market Risk Committee contribution / Limits and indicators review / provision methodology update.
• Product validation
• Development and analysis of new products

The successful candidate is likely to possess the following background and skill set:

• Highly experienced in risk management/ monitoring and ideally from a commodities background.
• Qualification in a science/engineering/economics subjects involving strong numerical skills
• Strong I.T skills are essential, Excel, Database, VBA, Access.
• Ability to handle large amounts of data from various sources efficiently and accurately
• Strong at forming relationships across the business and working effectively with different teams.
• Strong analytical thinker and problem solving capability
• Highly committed individual, keen to learn and grow into new areas of expertise
