Team Responsibilities:

The team sits at the very heart of managing the risk involved in exotic trading in the bank. The team is exposed to most risk and quantitative models used by the bank. The Models & Calibration EMC team is mainly responsible for the independent validation of derivative pricing models used for equity and commodity products. This includes the calibration of models to available market prices to ensure consistent valuation of the trading books, and specification of reserving methodologies where appropriate. The team also performs the verification and validation of complex and exotic trade bookings.

Personal Responsibilities:

Participate as a reliable and pro-active member of the team. Self motivation to complete tasks and projects within the team.
New trade verification. Daily validation of booking of structured and exotic trades in equities, commodities and alternative investments.
Manage Front Office Risk coming out of the exotic books across commodities and equities.
Assist in validation of new pricing models or new products in EMC.
Preparation of analyses, and regular reporting of model reserve calculations, issue reports, pricing submissions, parameter calibration etc.
Use and interpret a wide range of Front Office systems, e.g. Murex, Avid/Diva and Bloomberg.
Development of New Product Risk and Pricing models.
Develop and maintain good communication with colleagues in Trading and Structuring.

Ideal Profile

- Derivative Exposure

- Good Programming knowledge - C++ or Matlab

- Interest in quantitative work
